Internships

Undergraduate Internships: Students volunteer in the emergency shelter to support the 24 hour hotline, case management team, and the organization by developing skills in working with clients and administration. Opportunities are also available to work with the community education and advocacy programs providing support at local trainings, community events, and in a variety of other settings. Within the children’s program, students support child development activities, behavior modification, and general children and youth services.

Graduate Internships: WTLC works with local universities to provide interns and trainees the opportunity to learn on the job. Typically these are Masters of Social Work, Psychology, Human Services students. Ask your school administration if we are partners. Students provide individual, family and group counseling services.

Interns are required to attend the 40 Hour Hotline Training Program. Training is offered in March and August. Click here for training dates and registration information.
