Holistic Health is Caring for the Whole Person

25 Jan Holistic Health is Caring for the Whole Person

WTLC has long been known for its comprehensive programing and commitment to serving all survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.  This well-rounded commitment to excellence now includes holistic services that utilize the healing power of animals, crafting, and gardening.

The aim of holistic therapy is to achieve optimal health and wellness by honoring all parts of a person; including their mind, body, and emotions.  WTLC has always sought to address the physical and emotional needs of its survivors by providing the tools and resources to increase self-esteem and create empowerment.  Our newest tools offered will take place in the form of Animal Assisted Therapy and a regularly occurring Bloom and Grow Workshop.

Animal Assisted Therapy will occur on a bimonthly basis.  Sessions will take place every first and third Thursday of the month from 1:30-2:15pm.  Participants will interact with animal handler Lisa and her dog Lexi.  The Bloom and Grow Workshops will take place once monthly and involve crafts and gardening led by Beth from Dragonfly Shops and Gardens.

Both events  are open to all WTLC participants on a first-come-first serve basis, as space is limited.  Call WTLC’s Helpline at 877-531-5522 or text/email love@wtlc.org to register.
