Creating a safe and healthy life for survivors.

Restarting one’s life is mixed with feelings of excitement coupled with anxiety for survivors. However, with a support system to accompany them on every step of their journey makes what seemed impossible a reality. A Restart Gift allows WTLC to help the survivor create the home and life they envision for their future.

 

1. $50 [Restorative Justice]

WTLC’s Healthy Masculinity Program provides community educational program and workshops for youth and coaches to reframe what it means to be a boy/man in today’s culture.

  1. Community Educational Programs: Film Screenings, Discussion Panel, Presentations
  2. Workshops: supplies for activities, curriculum
  3. Incentives: gift cards, sports equipment, certificate of completion, etc.

 

2. $75 Manning Up [Healthy Masculinity ]

Survivors and their children entering our Bridge Housing program often arrive with nothing or only a small bag. WTLC ensures our apartment-style shelter is full equipped with everything a person and family might need.

  1. Towels
  2. Bedding
  3. Toiletries
  4. Clothing
  5. Food
  6. Specialty item: stuffed animal, toy, book, etc.

 

3. $100 Graduation Success [After Care Program]

WTLC’s After Care Program provides survivors with a dedicated advocate who serves as a sounding board and resource to promote the survivor’s independence and stabilization in their community.

  1. Welcome bag: journal, self-care items, planner
  2. Financial support: unexpected or unplanned expenses
  3. Extracurricular activities: fees to participate in a club, classes, learn a new skill or hobby, etc.

 

4. $250 Home Sweet Home [New Home]

WTLC’s Key Housing program provides survivors with the financial and emotional support to find and secure a home of their own.

  1. Laundry Basket and detergent
  2. Cleaning supplies: mops, brooms, vacuum, buckets, sponges, cleaning detergent
  3. Bathroom supplies: shower curtain, bathmat, toilet paper, towels
  4. Kitchen supplies: Blender, pots and pans, oven mitts, dish towels, drying racks, dish soap, etc.
  5. Bedding: sheets, comforters, pillows, curtains/blinds
  6. Furniture: couches, tables, lamps, rugs, chairs, dressers, beds, etc.
  7. Gift Card to celebrate new home
